Vancouver’s 2009 Pride Celebration has been in full swing since July 25, but the big climax is this weekend: The enormous–and enormously popular—Vancouver Pride Parade & Festival.
Attracting over 500,000 people last year, the annual Pride Parade through downtown Vancouver is a stunning display of diversity, creativity, artistry, and community.
The 2009 Pride Parade route travels through Vancouver’s West End, the historic centre of the city’s LGBT community. The route starts at Robson and Thurlow, continues along Denman Street, Beach Avenue and Pacific Street, ending at Sunset Beach.
