2008 Thrill the World Vancouver - Recreating Thriller in Vancouver.

It’s Halloween month in Vancouver, and the spooky fun has already started! While it is sad that the 2009 Parade of Lost Souls has been canceled (they plan to return in 2010), there’s still plenty of ghoulish, haunting action around town.

Top 5 Vancouver Halloween Events 2009

1. Stanley Park Ghost Train October 9 – November 1, 2009
Stanley Park transforms its bucolic miniature train and children’s farmyard into the perfect haunted happening for younger kids.

2. Fright Nights at the PNE October 16 – 31, 2009
Everyone loves Fright Nights: Haunted Houses, evil mazes, scary rides, Hollywood Horrors, Monsters of Schlock, and more.

3. World of the Weird – Halloween at the Vancouver Aquarium October 16 – 31, 2009; see site for exact dates
Even the Vancouver Aquarium gets in on the Halloween action, with a Haunted Hallway of “nature’s nightmares”, mad marine scientists, a Bat Exhibit, and a Howl-o-ween Scavenger Hunt.

4. Thrill the World Vancouver – October 24, 2009
Every year, people around the world dance to Michael Jackson’s Thriller on the same date and time (see the 2008 video) . This year, Thriller dancers will perform at the Roundhouse Community Centre Turntable Plaza in Yaletown. Participate or just watch.

5. Capilano Suspension Bridge Harvest Festival October 31, 2009
One of Vancouver’s most spectacular sites, the Capilano Suspension Bridge celebrates Halloween with trick-or-treating, live music, fortune telling, and lots of kids activities.
