Presented in conjunction with the 2010 Cultural Olympiad, the Museum of Vancouver’s (MOV) newest exhibit, Art of Craft, showcases 173 spectacular fine craft works from Canada and the Republic of Korea.

The stunning exhibit celebrates the “exuberance, inventiveness and refinement of fine craft” with a wide variety of works, ranging from delicate, embroidered tissues to powerful, geometric light fixtures.

Art of Craft has three sections:

  1. Unity & Diversity: Selected Works - 75 pieces from across Canada recently on display at the 2009 Cheongju International Craft Biennale in the Republic of Korea.
  2. By Hand/BC and Yukon - 51 pieces from Canada’s West Coast with a focus on the artists’ creative processes and studio environments.
  3. Craft from the Republic of Korea – 47 pieces demonstrating the excellence of traditional and contemporary crafts.
