Flash Mob in the City

About 2,000 people took part in a flash mob Saturday afternoon on one of the main streets of downtown Vancouver – Robson Street – between Thurlow and Bute. I had planned on attending, as it is literally 3 blocks from where I live, but as I am sure will happen frequently during the next few weeks, plans changed and I found myself on the other side of the city at the appointed time. Boo to that!!

Participants learnt about this through Facebook and other Social Media platforms. A couple of lessons were held to learn the routine and people could also watch instructional video’s online. So fun!!! I wish I had been there. This is a blockage of traffic we can all get behind!

    Hi Anne,

It was Imagine1Day who put it on and updated the Facebook page. I heard about it through a friend who I saw was attending

  3. Thanks so much for posting this video of the flash mob that just happened during the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver BC. I just wanted to give you the official video by the group who put it on, imagine1day, an organization that is dedicated to bringing quality primary education to every child by 2020. We’re all about fun and community!
