The steak-frites at Abigail's Party, one of the excellent restos on this year's Dine Around Vancouver circuit
Talk about having-our-cake-and-eating-it-too: not only did we get to host the 2010 Olympics, but we didn’t have to give up our other favourite winter sporting event either.
Nope, to the delight of foodies everywhere Dine Out Vancouver–usually launched in January–was merely delayed by a few months.
Starting today and until Thursday, May 6, you can dig into one of the special prix-fixe menus at 208 of the city’s top eateries, including COAST, Chambar, and Regional Tasting Lounge.
It’s a great excuse to revisit old favourites–or discover new ones. (I’ve just discovered tiny Abigail’s Party in Kits, where the steak-frites is Paris bistro-worthy.)
But with menu prices ranging from just $18 to $38, reservations are a must. You can scope your choices by restaurant name, food style, price point or neighbourhood at the Dine Out web site–and then book your table instantly on-line.
With so many choices, how to choose? You’ll find some choice tips among the Georgia Straight’s Golden Plates award winners and by scanning my fellow blogger Remy Scalza’s recent posts here at InsideVancouver.
Psssst: wanna win a $75 to Abigail’s Party, one of this year’s Dine Out Vancouver participating restos? Check out my contest over at TheseBoots.Travel…

This domain seems to recieve a good ammount of visitors. How do you advertise it? It gives a nice unique spin on things. I guess having something real or substantial to talk about is the most important factor.
