I am both a child of the 80’s and a total movie geek. So when I heard about what will be taking place at Hastings Racecourse every Friday night over the next few months, I just had to share with ya’ll.

Through the end of July, Hastings is showing classic movies from the 1980’s every Friday night, 30 minutes after the last live race at the racetrack. How cool right? Oh and did I mention it is free?

Billed as Flashback to the 80’s at Hastings the series kicks off this Friday with my all time favourite 80’s film – John Hughes beloved The Breakfast Club.

So after the last race is run, and the horses, jockeys and racegoers have headed off into the night, sit back, relax and get lost in the 80’s with some of the best movies ever made (in my humble opinion). Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Beverly Hills Cop, Teen Wolf, and Top Gun are just a few of the movies on offer this summer.
