If you’re going to be in downtown Vancouver for Canada Day (July 1), and you want to party all day long, then look no further than the FREE festival at Canada Place, the iconic heart of downtown’s harbour front.

Now in its 23rd year, Canada Day at Canada Place has become an all-day extravaganza that starts with a street festival at 10am and continues to the grand finale, the Canada Day Burrard Inlet Fireworks Show, at 10:30pm.

Top 5 Reasons to Celebrate Canada Day at Canada Place

1. The Live Music & Concerts
Canadian Idol star Carly Rae Jepsen, Hey Ocean!, Five Alarm Funk, and dancers from So You Think Can Dance Canada are just some of the performers playing on Canada Place’s four entertainment stages. Entertainment starts at 10am.

2. The Street Festival
The Canada Day activities and party will stretch all around Canada Place, (as well as throughout the convention centre), with food vendors, a kids zone (Harbour Green Adventure Park), acrobats, and more. The daytime festival runs from 10am – 6pm.

3. The Re-Lit Olympic Cauldron
Yep, the Olympic Cauldron will re-ignite—along with our national pride—on Canada Day at Canada Place. Expect huge crowds—organizers think there could be “hundreds of thousands.”
