Travel by transit to Vancouver Aquarium and get a discount

TransLink has just announced a “new permanent policy” that will give Vancouver Aquarium visitors a $2 discount on admission when they present a valid transit ticket or pass.

It works for tourists and locals alike: just show your valid monthly Fare Card or Employer pass, a same-day fare receipt/transfer, or a DayPass when you arrive.

The #19 Stanley Park/Metrotown terminates right near the Aquarium, and the regular service is supplemented by small shuttle buses running between Pender and Cambie and the Stanley Park Loop during the summer.

According to TransLink’s press release, “This is the latest partnership to encourage people to TravelSmart to local attractions.  It builds on the success of including unlimited event-day transit use in the tickets to the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.”
