British Columbia’s biggest Caribbean festival—and the largest single-weekend cultural event in B.C.— is happening July 24 – 25, in North Vancouver: Caribbean Days is two days of tropical rhythm, cuisine, carnival and culture, and the best time you can have in the sun this weekend!
The Caribbean Days Festival’s two-day, free Festival in the Park includes live entertainment and concerts, an international food fair, and a clothes and crafts market. There’s also a Multicultural Street Parade (pictured above)—complete with costumes and traditional dance—on Saturday, and a fabulous free, nighttime Waterfront Party featuring Canada’s premier Caribbean act, Moses Revolution.
Caribbean Days Festival 2010 runs from July 24 – July 25 at North Vancouver’s Waterfront Park and Lonsdale Quay. Get there by public transit by taking the SkyTrain or Canada Line downtown and then hopping on the SeaBus, which will drop you at Lonsdale Quay, next to Waterfront Park.
