Look around Vancouver and you’ll spot some great signage, some of it new, some of it dating back decades.
Over the next few weeks we will be running a fun little contest here on Inside Vancouver. Each week we’ll crop one of the photos from our Flickr photo pool and post it here. All you need to do is identify which well-known sign this is cropped from, and you could win!
Note: I’ve disabled the comments section – you need to email your guesses to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will pick a random winner from all correct guesses and award them some sort of nifty prize. This week we have a beautiful coffee table book titled “Vancouver Then and Now“.
This week’s photo is below (we’re starting with an easy one). Good luck!
We’ll pick a winner tomorrow afternoon and notify them by email.
March 15 Update: Congratulations Katherine Chu! Check your email.
As many of you correctly guessed, the above image was cropped from this photo of the East Vancouver cross by artist Ken Lum.
Next week we’ll have another sign to identify, with an even better prize! Be sure to check back.
