The roof of the Vancouver Convention Centre is covered with over 2.5 hectares (6 acres) of native grassland. Usually closed to the public, film maker Dave Budge was able to get a tour and interview with the landscape architect of the project, Bruce Hemstock.

One Response to Vancouver’s 6 Acre Living Roof

  1. As a roofer, I appreciate all the different roofing systems out there. Green roofs are a great idea on buildings like these.

Maby one day I’ll get the chance to work on a project like this.
