How long have you been a Vancouverite? Born and raised — 31 years and counting.

Occupation:
I’m a Pastry Chef/Consultant and Owner/Operator at MARKED EDIBLE DESIGNS, where I create specialty cakes for birthdays, weddings, and special occasions, along with teaching classes in pastry and other avenues of edible art. Best way to spend $50 in Vancouver:
I have an affinity for sweets, but I also enjoy an active lifestyle. A personal training session with Tiz at Tiz Training will get you going for the day. It will keep you motivated to enjoy the outdoors in Vancouver, from running or cycling the seawall, to hiking the Grouse Grind.

  1. I’d love to see our Head Chef Instructor, Dahn Bryan, interviewed for your Featured Vancouverite. She teaches kids, of all ages, how to cook nutritious meals and how to enjoy the process at the same time. She instils a passion within the kids and they leave here feeling good about themselves as well as taking pride and ownership of what they’ve accomplished in our kitchens.

    Should have posted this first…..Mark is simply the best. If you ever have an opportunity to take his Macaron class DO IT! You won’t be disappointed as these are the best Macarons in the city.

    Great interview. I have had a few of the pastries he has made and they’re the best in the city. He’s a seriously talented man.

    Had dinner the last week at The Endless Meal Supper Club. Would be interested to hear more about Kristen (sorry, don’t know her last name) the person who throws the social dinners.

    We had a really great time and it seems like a pretty novel concept, at least for Vancouver.
