Hometown: Lynn Valley, North Vancouver, British Columbia

How long have you been a Vancouverite?
My whole life — this place will always be my home. Despite some time away travelling, I don’t think I could ever permanently move away from this spectacular city.

Occupation:
I am currently a Visitor Counsellor at Tourism Vancouver and a student at Capilano University in the Tourism Management Degree Program. I love the tourism industry — it’s so exciting, especially when you live in such a beautiful city, with so many activities to choose from. I’m very passionate about saying that we live in the most amazing place on earth, and I love sharing this with visitors that come into the centre.

Best way to spend a Sunday morning in Vancouver:
Hiking with my boyfriend and our dogs. Sometimes we forget how stunning the scenery can be along the trails that are practically in our back yards. Lynn Canyon is always spectacular, Quarry rock is another favourite, and of course, the Stanley Park seawall. Lately, I’ve also been trying out new things to do in and close by to Vancouver, like whale watching, visiting museums, surfing in Tofino, and going to the many attractions around Vancouver.

Favourite Vancouver restaurant:
My favourite restaurant is Bella Sushi on 2nd and Lonsdale, close to Lonsdale Quay. They have the most amazing sushi I have ever tasted in Vancouver. The restaurant is always full, but it’s definitely worth the wait. They serve everything from their signature Bella roles to sushi pizza. I highly recommend trying it out.

Your best Vancouver haiku:
The fresh mountain air
Is unlike anywhere else
So crisp and so clean

  1. Hi. It’s nice to know that’s there’s a web site, that does not permit offensive remarks. The same can’t be said about Facebook, I have written comments about this. Yet these same people, continue . I wish someone in Facebook, would listen to this problem. Freedom of speech does give them , them the right to offend or use offensive language.
Thank you for letting me say my piece.
