I lie in wait for food cart news and here’s a morsel juicier than a La Brasserie beer-brined chicken sandwich: Food Network’s Eat St. is back in Vancouver filming September 6-9.
And another: Simon Fraser University launches Street Eat Thursdays today, September 6. Every Thursday, food carts will venture up to the Burnaby campus and set up in the courtyard between Saywell Hall and the Academic Quadrangle from 11am-2pm.
Today, Japadog, Vancouver’s most famous food cart, will visit SFU’s Burnaby campus. So if the student one seat over is giving off an alluring aroma of terimayo in your afternoon lecture, you know why.

Street Eat Thursdays at SFU
Another Vancouver doggerie, Dougie Dogs, will set up at SFU September 13, followed by Roaming Dragon, the pan-Asian fusion kings of Food Network fame, September 20. Then it’s Japadog again September 27. Those are all the participants listed so far.
Eat St. Vancouver Filming Schedule
Speaking of Food Network, Eat St. is back in town filming Vancouver food carts. They’ve already rolled by Vij’s Railway Express. If you’d like to see the Eat St. action first hand, here’s where they’ll be this week:
September 6: Kaboom Box, 1am-2:30pm (West Georgia between Burrard & Thurlow)
September 7: Le Tigre, 11:30am-2:00pm (Alberni & Thurlow)
September 9: Pig On The Street, 11:30am – 3:00pm (Howe between West Georgia & Robson)
