Friday July 26th

Over 50 tents filled with local products showcasing British Columbia’s bakers, artisans, and farmers.  A great evening for all ages, with food, fun, and festivities all night long.  Takes place every Thursday and Friday this summer.

Join the South Asian Arts for an outdoor, interactive, dance and theatre event.  A hilarious portrayal of the engagement and wedding of two young Indians brought together in an arranged marriage, you will love this elaborate production in the Italian Gardens at the Pacific National Exhibition.  Bring a jacket or blanket – the show goes on rain or shine.

Enjoy spicy Caribbean food as well as other international fare, then dance up a storm at the outdoor music festival.  Dancers and other performers entertain while bands play reggae, calypso, latin, and other international sounds.  Families are welcome to hang out at the Family Zone with face painting, children’s playground, and other activities.

10th Annual Fiji Festival, 10:00AM-8:00PM @ Swangard Stadium (Kingsway @ Boundary), Burnaby

23rd Annual Honda Celebration of Light, 10:00PM @ English Bay, downtown Vancouver

The world’s largest offshore fireworks competition and Vancouver’s biggest fireworks event is back!  This year’s competition features the United Kingdom on Saturday.  Check out the amazing live music just before the fireworks at SHOREfest- two music stages at Sunset Beach and English Bay to keep you dancing until the sun goes down.  The complete line up is on the website.  Skip the hassle of looking for seating – purchase bleacher seats at the YVR Observation Decks!

    Just FYI–the fireworks for Celebration of Light always start at 10pm, not 10:30. People will have completely missed it if they show up for a 10:30 start time.
