If the kids found the first week back at school tough, then why not get one last taste of summer at the Wesbrook Village Festival? On today from 11-3, the third annual community festival is the perfect place to bring any kids who are still mourning the end of summer.
The Wesbrook Village Festival can be found at Wesbrook Village at the south end of the University of British Columbia campus. A Kids Zone will be around all day with bouncy castles, face painting, crafts, and more. And there’s plenty of things for adults to do too: a free bbq will be there to keep your bellies happy, as well as a rock climbing wall, games, booths from local vendors like the Running Room and the UBC Farm, and caricature and balloon animal artists.
Lastly, the Wesbrook Village Festival won’t be short for entertainment with performances by BC local house band, Dr Strangelove, the UBC Dance Team, and children’s entertainer Will Stroet of CBC’s Will’s Jams. So bring the kids out and enjoy the last remains of summer!
