The 6th annual Fraser Valley Food Show on October 4, 5, and 6, 2013 announces two more celebrity personalities to accompany Cactus Restaurants’ Executive Chef Rob Feenie on the Celebrity Cooking Stage.
Canadian Chef Corbin Tomaszeski’s passion, drive, and creativity have been an integral part of his popularity on TV shows Dinner Party Wars, Restaurant Makeover, Crash My Kitchen, and the new hit show on Food Network Canada, Restaurant Takeover. Chef Corbin is known for his ability to rebuild lackluster menus with flair and attention to detail. Currently, he is working on many exciting projects including the opening of three new restaurants, creating a cookbook, filming new episodes, appearing on daytime TV shows, and touring the country for events. Chef Matthew Stowe, Product Development Chef for Cactus Restaurants, was named the winner of Season Three of Food Network Canada’s competitive culinary show, Top Chef Canada. Chef Matthew fell in love with cooking at 15 years old and is now a proud husband, father, chef, and cookbook author. After graduating from New York’s prestigious Culinary Institute of America in 2002, he honed his craft at New York City’s Lutèce, and played an integral role as Executive Chef of B.C.’s Sonora Resort for seven years, earning the resort’s coveted Relais & Châteaux designation in 2009. He is a passionate and focused chef who prides his style on refined Canadian cuisine with modern techniques. Chef Matthew will be on the Celebrity Cooking Stage on Sunday, October 6. The Fraser Valley Food Show introduces the first Gluten Free Living Show. Manufacturers and food producers offering gluten-free products at the show include: Azuma Foods Co., BC Salmon Marketing Council, Cabin Fever Sweet Sensations, Canada Hemp Foods, Canadian Celiac Association, Checkers Premium Fudge, ChocolaTas, Cooking Essence, Country Prime Meats, Epicure Selections, Glutenull Bakery, Jump Up and GoGo, Kidd Brothers Honey Processors & Western Sage Honey, Kitchening & Co., Mountain Meadow Honey, Nature’s Path Foods, Silver Hills Bakery, Simply Delish Soup + Salad Co., Spiceworks Food Creations, Spolumbo’s Fine Foods & Deli, Taste of the Okanagan Specialty Foods, The Gluten Free Chef, Trugs Gourmet Foods, Wineland Dressings, Wise Bites, and Zara’s Pasta Production.
The Bite of the Valley features some of the Lower Mainland’s favourite restaurants and their array of local and international cuisine. Attendees can taste menu selections for no more than $4.00 per appetizer-size portion. 2013 participants include:

- Frankie’s Italian Kitchen & Bar – Vancouver and Chilliwack

Attendees will enjoy offerings from over 100 food and beverage exhibitors. More than 15,000 visitors are expected to attend the show over the three-day weekend at the Tradex Trade and Exhibition Centre, 1190 Cornell Street, Abbotsford, B.C., V2T 6H5. Tickets are $7 for adults online.
