Curious Flea Market Transforms the Traditional Flea Market into Social Event

You’ve never been to a flea market like this before! The Curious Flea Market this weekend is a new kind of flea market for the adventurous and inquisitive. Billing itself as a “social flea market”, Curious Flea Market aims to transform the traditional basement flea market into a social shopping event where customers are invited to hangout, engage, and explore.

Curious Flea Market has brought together a collection of vendors who collect, rebuild, re-imagine, re-inspire, and renovate their items, breathing new life into their wares. Some new items are even created using old-fashioned techniques and trades. Vendors at Curious Flea Market will be selling everything from antique to Mid-Century Modern to 50s kitsch to upcycled furniture and decor.

Curious Flea Market will also be holding a “Battle of the Curious” – a contest for the weirdest, strangest most curious thing you might have! If you have anything sitting in your closet, bring it along and you might just win a prize! Your curious item will be immortalized in Curious Flea’s Curious Hall of Fame.

So instead of rummaging though a flea market in a gloomy basement or dusty hall, try shopping at Curious Flea Market this weekend. With a boardwalk, park, award-winning restaurants, music and the most curious vendors possible, it won’t be like any flea market you’ve been to before. The market runs at River Market at Westminster Quay on February 22nd and 23rd, from 10am-5pm on the 22nd and 11am-4pm on the 23rd.
