Skies Painted With Unnumbered Sparks: An interactive aerial sculpture; through Saturday March 22, 8:00PM @ Burrard Landing (between the two Convention Centre buildings on Canada Place Way), downtown Vancouver

Come down at sunset each evening for an interactive experience!  The artwork, conceived by Janet Echelman and in collaboration with Aaron Koblin (Creative Director at Goggle’s Creative Lab), commemorates the 30th anniversary of the TED conference. The sculpture suspends 745ft between Vancouver Convention Centre West (site of the TED Conference) and the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, and is located directly across the street from Tourism Vancouver’s Visitor Centre.  The installation is only available for viewing through March 22, after which it will travel to other cities around the world.

One of three sizzling evenings of some of Brahms’ most prized chamber music works performed by world-renowned musicians and Vancouver favourites. This competition will rank the 24 men and women for the 2014-15 national and development teams. The selections begin Thursday with the Qualifying Rounds for the 500 and 1,500m, followed by the 1,500m finals on Friday ,and 1,000 and 3,000m on Sunday. The relays will also take place on Sunday. Tickets are available at the door.
