Vancouver TheatreSports™ League (VTSL) new summer show, TripImproviser, has been extended until September 27. Inspired by suggestions from the audience and TripAdvisor reviews, the new show parodies travel experiences. From city to jungle, bungee jumping to bird watching, the possibilities are endless because it’s completely improvised and totally unpredictable.
Each night, a host interviews audience members to ask where they’re from or to share memorable travel experiences. In addition, the host may search TripAdvisor for inspiration. VTSL’s Mainstage Ensemble re-enacts the action onstage through scenes, songs and montages.
VTSL understands the value of traveler reviews, as TripAdvisor users frequently recommend The Improv Centre as a great spot to catch some of the best improv comedy in the city. In fact, VTSL has received TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence – which honours hospitality businesses that consistently achieve outstanding traveler reviews on TripAdvisor – for the past three consecutive years.
During TripImproviser, the host also invites audience members to review their VTSL experience on TripAdvisor. When the show started at the beginning of July, VTSL was listed as #24 of 185 attractions in Vancouver on TripAdvisor; the company is currently #16 on the list. VTSL hopes to earn a spot in the top ten before the show’s run ends on September 27.
TripImproviser runs Thursday – Saturday at 7:30 pm at The Improv Centre on Granville Island. Click here to buy tickets.
