Based on the classic 1900 play Reigen by Arthur Schnitzler (better known by its French title La Ronde), The Fire Of Desire updates the setting to present day Hong Kong, where five men and five women (all played by the same two actors) explore their frustrations and perspectives on love, marriage, and sex in ten different scenes, with each scene taking place in a room with a different man and woman.  On through August 24.  Part of the Pacific Theatre Festival.

Celebrate 100 years of community performances at the Haywood Bandstand!   Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the BCR Brass Group performance.  A group of brass musicians from the British Columbia Regiment Band that plays lively jazz, pop, classical, and folk music, the regiment band includes civilian volunteers who perform for military and public functions as representatives of the regiment.
