May is just around the corner, and you know what that means? Patio season, people!

One luxurious spot that has been drawing a healthy amount of cocktail connoisseurs since opening in 2011, is Vancouver’s al fresco rooftop bar and lounge, Reflections.

Located on the 4th floor inner courtyard of the historic Rosewood Hotel Georgia, join in-the-know urbanites under the beautiful B.C. starry sky for an impressive patio experience.

As you relax on comfy oversized teak couches by a roaring stone fire pit (or in one of the heated cabanas), and are soothed by the tranquil sound of the infinity water features, enjoy Spanish-inspired fare created by Executive Head Chef, Ken Nakano.

Must-try tapas plates include: the seared albacore tuna with fingerling potatoes and olive tapenade; burrata and watermelon salad with heirloom tomatoes; Pacific seafood salad with mussels, scallops, prawns, squid, shaved fennel, pickled shallots, and lightly tossed in a lemon saffron vinaigrette; and the to-die-for charcuterie plate. Looking for something a little sweet? The new olive oil cake with orange marmalade and sherry custard should hit the spot nicely.

To complement your delightful nibbles, partake of one of lead bartender, Neil Perry’s newly-crafted cocktails, like Marley’s Swizzel, which is made with banana-infused dark rum and pineapple — yum! Other beverages that may appeal are the Tiki Slushies, a Moscow Mule, watermelon punch, or a glass of B.C. wine from Reflections’ carefully-curated wine list.

Here’s to a wonderful patio season, Vancouver!

Reflections is open from 11:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. daily. For menus, reservations, and more information, visit www.rosewoodhotels.com.
