Tribute nights have become a thing in Vancouver. In 2015, local musicians came together to celebrate the music of Taylor Swift, Bjork and Prince. In January, a Drake tribute brought out “an incredibly diverse lineup of Vancouver musicians.

The tribute nights are proving so popular that there are more on the way for 2016. Two that have been recently announced are tributes to Stratford, Ontario bad boy Justin Bieber and the powerhouse British vocalist Adele.

Sorry: A Justin Bieber Tribute Night, on Feb. 17 at the Biltmore Cabaret (2755 Prince Edward St.), also features a diverse lineup, from rock band Derrival to rapper Omar Khan to country singer Shylo Sharity.

Other performers delving into the oeuvre of the once-teen-sensation include pop group Sarah Jickling and her Good Bad Luck, Kaylee Johnston, Ponyboy and Majik of ::Man Up::, synth duo Smash Boom Pow, Australian/Canadian electro-pop band Rainbow Road, Zach from Killing Time, and Jake Touzel.

Unfortunately, advance tickets for this one are sold-out. For more details check out the Facebook page.

There are still tickets left for Hello: An Adele Tribute Night, March 23, 2016, also at the Biltmore. According to the event’s Facebook page, “A handful of Vancouver’s best musicians are coming together to RECREATE her signature sound and showcase her amazing journey from 19 to 25.” The lineup hasn’t been announced yet but we’ll add names to this post as they become available.

Update: Performers confirmed for Hello: An Adele Tribute Night include Chersea, Kaylee Johnston, Dante Hadden, Omar Khan, Emily Chambers, Sophia Danai, and Sarah Jickling and her Good Bad Luck. According to Jickling, who is also organizing the evening, “We also have an award winning burlesque dancer, Voracious V, performing to an Adele song, and the whole thing will be hosted by drag queen Berlin, who will be performing a lip sync. I think it’s going to be an emotional night!”

Tickets start at $10 and are available at ticketfly.com.
