NEW Happy Hour at VCBW’s Craft Beer Fest at the PNE

VCBW PNE Aug 27

Just in! Vancouver Craft Beer Week just announced they are offering Happy Hour daily until the PNE closes September 5th.

Thirsty beer aficionados will love this. Every day from 2-3pm, Happy Hour means the usual entrance fee to the craft beer tents is just half price, and includes 1 beer tasting ticket with a 4 oz. sampling cup. Regular price is $10, so we think $5 for a mid-afternoon libation and entrance sounds like a sweet deal indeed.

VCBW’s new location in the PNE’s Italian Gardens is a lovely, grassy spot, shady with trees, plenty of picnic tables to sit and sip your beer at, some covered by tents for those drizzly days.

This week, from August 30 to September 5, 13 different craft breweries will each be pouring 2 varieties at their own branded tents. This is your opportunity to get acquainted with the diverse craft drafts being developed within the Lower Mainland.

Watch for a new cidery added to the mix – Howling Moon, to set up shop here September 1-5, plus a brand new brewery out of Penticton called Highway 97 worth checking out. Also noteworthy? Try the seasonal pale ale from Phillips called Short Wave, and the Moody Ale from Port Moody Brewers. Others to sample this week? Goose Island, Mill Street, Parallel 49, Persephone, Hoyne, Whistler Brewing, Powell Street, Off the Rail, and Trading Post.

That should keep you ‘hopping’. Visit VCBW for more details.
