Royal-Fever? Vancouver’s Jack Poole Plaza was absolutely on fire with it this morning. A well-behaved, captive audience waited patiently (yet super-excitedly)  for the 10:45 a.m. scheduled royal visit of Prince William and Kate Middleton, who landed in Coal Harbour at the site of the Olympic torch.

Locals and visitors to the city lined up to share tight sidewalk space along Cordova Street to catch a glimpse of the couple when they hopped in to their motorcade to visit the city, while others crammed the plaza space to watch Will and Kate make their way from the plane on foot prior.

The Duchess of Cambridge looked fabulously chic in an Alexander McQueen print dress, with a red clutch and stiletto pumps. Best accessory Kate wore? That engaging smile that’s won us Canadians over since Prince William first introduced us to her.
