1. EAT! Vancouver

The EAT! Vancouver Festival has transitioned into a smaller, more intimate event this Fall in Vancouver. This year, the very foodie-friendly festival gives you the chance to sample exquisite food from top local chefs. There are still tickets available for a few of the events, so grab them while you can.

2. Taste of Yaletown 2016

From October 13-27, 2016 Yaletown comes alive with the smell of delicious food! Taste of Yaletown is an excellent event to try the latest restaurants in one of Vancouver’s trendiest neighbourhoods. Over the course of two weeks, participating locations offer featured menus, special tastings, and innovative pairings. You have the opportunity to try special menu items at the fixed prices of $25, $35, or $45. At those rates, why not eat out every night?

3. Chopstick Fest 2016

This is the inaugural year for the exciting, new Chopstick Festival running in Vancouver from October 15 – 30, 2016. During the festival, over thirty restaurants across the Lower Mainland will be featuring unique dishes that highlight the sophistication and complexity of Chinese cuisine. Forget your well-known favourites like Dimsum and Kung Pao Chicken, this festival gives you the chance to sample a taste of China like never before. The restaurants participating in the event will be offering a variety of dishes that showcase the nine major culinary areas of Mainland China and Taiwan. chī hǎo hē hǎo!

4. Vegan Donut Tasting Event

While not a festival per say, we wanted to get your attention on this awesome event. Cartems Donuterie made the news last month with their innovative donut salad that was served as part of a special tasting series. They’re back at it again with a new vegan donut tasting event happening on October 19, 2016. This event features a 4 course donut tasting experience like no other. You’ll get sweet and savoury donuts as well as wine and port pairings. It’s limited to only 33 seats, so make sure you grab a ticket before they inevitably sell out.

5. Vancouver Craft Cider Festival 2016

For those who are fans of drinking their apples, rather than eating them, CAMRA Vancouver is hosting the first annual Craft Cider Festival next month.This festival is not simply about drinking, you will also be learning about the science behind the cider from some of Vancouver’s best cider educators. Earlybird tickets for the event are on sale now and are priced at only $20-$25, which includes 3 tokens and a glassware souvenir.
