If you happen to be riding the skytrain on Sunday, January 8, 2017 and people start taking off their pants… Don’t worry, this is completely normal… sort of.

The official No Pants Skytrain Ride is coming back to confuse and bewilder people on the Vancouver skytrain (and hopefully cause a few laughs). On January 8, 2017 you’re invited to take your pants off and take a ride on the skytrain with the folks from Vancouver Improv Anywhere.

Why are people taking off their pants to ride the skytrain? Well, that’s a good question without a good answer. But, people have been doing is since the idea was first brought to fruition in New York back in 2002.

Over 400 people have participated in this pants-less flash mob in the past, and hopefully this year will garner even more brave souls. If you’re interested in participating, the event will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, January 8 (rain or shine). Everyone will meet at the Commercial-Broadway Skytrain Station (South side, by ticket machines) and from there the group will divide and conquer.

All that’s required to participate:

  1. Willingness to take pants off on the skytrain
  2. Able to keep a straight face about it

If you’re not willing to take off your pants, feel free to keep tabs on the event’s Facebook page to find out where the mob will be. It’s a great opportunity for some unusual photography opportunities!

  1. MANNY

this is the most stupid things i have ever heard.
instead of focusing in stupid things like that to encourage even worst behavior that Vancouver have… why dont people focus on reconstructing a city that would be nice to live in instead of being filled with garbage, bad people and high rate crime.
Vancouver is becoming a little dump that people only come here to dump garbage, get high and the rest of the other people and senior, are affraid to walk in the street pass 5 pm due that Vancouver is becoming such a creep place and dangerous place.
