Monday nights are becoming the best night of the week starting January 23, 2017 when ladies are invited to Mount Seymour to shred for the cause to support a local, community-based charity called The Bloom Group.

Every Monday night until March 27, 2017, you can ski or snowboard at Mt Seymour for as low as $10 (feel free to donate more) with $5 of every lift ticket going to The Bloom Group.

Monday night ladies nights are a great way to give to a good cause and provide more opportunity for women to spend some extra time on the slopes. (Men are invited as well, evening lift tickets cost just $33).

Last season, the Shred for the Cause event raised over $17,000 for The Bloom Group, one of most progressive social services in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside for over 50 years. They work to provide a range of housing, health and social services for women in crisis.

It’s a worthy cause and here’s hoping 2017 will provide even more donations! Tickets will be sold out of the ticket booths at Guest Services on Mt Seymour, so all you have to do is show up and pay your donation to enjoy some excellent evening shredding.

Located about 30 minutes from downtown in North Vancouver, Mount Seymour boasts 40 trails with a vertical drop of 330 metres, and also has terrain parks, snowshoe trails, snow tubing and tobogganing. But it’s just one of several skiing options in and around the city.
