Vancouver Civic Theatres’ Upcoming Public Programs

Learn the basics of architectural photography with instructor Doug Williams. This course will teach you techniques for window light portraits, using flash, methods of creating abstracts, and long exposures outdoors. Review your work in the class and practice with the instructor’s one-on-one support. This course is low cost, so if you’ve got a keen interest in photography but are low on resources, this is the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

The unique settings of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Orpheum, and Annex are ideal as they provide the subject inspiration for architecture, and great backdrops for portraits. You’ll have a chance to take photos in the Orpheum and Queen Elizabeth Theatre when available – a fantastic setting for some great portfolio additions!

Registration is limited, so you should book today!

This program is a part of Vancouver Civic Theatres’ (VCT) mission to provide access to its spaces for the community in unconventional ways.
