Let them eat pancakes! While today marks the official “pancake day” in the United Kingdom, we here in North America don’t celebrate the day of the pancake until Tuesday, March 7, 2017. When that day comes, we will be ready to celebrate with a fork in hand and a jug of pure maple syrup in easy reach!

And what’s the best way to celebrate national pancake day? How about with a free stack of pancakes from IHOP? On March 7, 2017 IHOP restaurants around the city will be giving away a free stack of freshly cooked buttermilk pancakes from 7:00am – 7:00pm to benefit charity.

The free pancake day at IHOP acts as a fundraiser for local charities. In Vancouver, IHOP will be raising funds for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, so guests who come in for free pancakes are urged to leave a donation. The free pancake fundraiser is in its fourth year in Canada and expects to serve a record-breaking five million pancakes in a single day, according to the head office.

One Response to Celebrate Pancake Day on March 7 with a free stack from IHOP!

  1. Well, the cause is worth it but very poorly serviced

It’s listed as free with donation urged however when you enter the IHOP on Broadway they have you pay $3 each order off to the side and collect a donation air balloon and then tell you there’s a 1 1/2 hour wait.

They won’t let you takeout either.

Kiwanis staff are all cozy inside drinking coffee and overheard one of the Kiwanis staff say to the girl at the cash desk, looks like it’s busier than you thought. Can you handle it?

How about you get your coat on and get outside the doors and let people know before they come in there’s a very long wait instead of letting the guests waste 15 minutes inside.

The manager can’t even get it correct when discussing take out orders. We wanted to order a sandwich, fries and one order of pancakes for sit in. But since the wait was so long we asked if we could order it as take out But she couldn’t do it because she HAD to charge the $3 for pancakes separately
