Jerry and Dave, the lovable Minions are travelling to Vancouver to promote their latest movie – and you’re invited to join the fun. The Minions will be bouncing around several different venues in and around Vancouver over the Canada Day weekend, and are happy to pose for photos, and engage in all kinds of silliness. Drop by to say hi, then gear up for their epic new adventure Despicable Me 3, which hits theatres on June 30.
July 1, 2017 – Meet the Minions at the Salmon Festival in Richmond. Since 1945, the people of Steveston have come together annually to celebrate Canada’s birthday at one of the largest Canada Day celebrations across the country. Organized by the Richmond Agricultural and Industrial Society, the event attracts more than 70,000 people from across Richmond, Metro Vancouver and the Pacific Northwest – and this year, that will number will increase to include two Minions.
July 2, 2017 – Meet the Minions at Canada Place in Vancouver. The award-winning Canada Day at Canada Place is the largest Canada Day celebration outside our nation’s capital. This year, the celebrations have been expanded to two days with new events, exhibits and performances, and two dancing Minions.
July 3, 2017 – Meet the Minions at Playland in Vancouver. One of the most popular attractions at the PNE site is Playland. Since opening in 1910, the 15-acre amusement park has hosted millions of thrill-seekers, and its marquee attraction – the beloved 1958 Wooden Roller Coaster – remains one of the most highly regarded wooden coasters in the world. Join the Minions here, then spend the day exploring Playland’s three new rides, dozens of attractions and endless array of food carts and carnival games.
