The Fair at the PNE Kicks Off this Saturday with BBQ Cricket Burgers, Free Concerts, and More!

You may soon notice a faint smell of mini donuts in the air… The Fair at the PNE is coming back to Vancouver this Saturday, August 19 and running until Monday, September 4 (Labour Day)!

Featuring rides, inventive food options, endless entertainment, and free concerts, the PNE is always a memorable occasion in Vancouver’s summer season. For 2017, the PNE is pulling out all the stops to keep you entertained with new attractions and shows here for this year only.

Summer Night Concerts

The nightly concerts at the PNE are worth the price of admission alone! With a lineup that includes Mother Mother, ZZ Top, Chicago, The B-52s, The Pointer Sisters, and more surprises, the PNE has your concert wishes fulfilled. These concerts are FREE with admission but a limited number of reserved seats are available for purchase starting at just $20. Reserved seats can be purchased online or onsite during The Fair from the ticket booth located outside the venue entrance within the fairgrounds. (More Info)

Hockey Hall of Fame – Legends of Hockey Exhibit

New this year, the Hockey Hall of Fame has come all the way from Toronto with artifacts, artwork, photography, and video. This is a unique retrospective perfect for all fans of Canada’s most popular sport. Featuring content from some of the game’s greatest players to ever lace up the skates, the colourful array of artifacts and video reminiscing from their careers will be sure to provoke nostalgic feelings and inspire future generations of young athletes. The exhibit will be held in the Garden Auditorium and is open from 11am – 10pm. (More Info)

Craft Beer Festival

Over 30 craft breweries and local wineries will be participating in the annual Craft Beer Fest at the PNE. Open daily from 2pm – 8pm, this festival celebrates tasty, adult beverages. Admission to the Craft Beer Festival costs $7 at the gate (or $5 online), which includes a 4oz tasting cup. Tasting tickets cost an additional $2. The list of participants in the Craft Beer Fest is lengthy and the brewery participants will change regularly, so you’ll have a good excuse to go back to see them all! (More Info)

Toytopia

Kids of all ages are invited to explore and play with some of the world’s biggest and most beloved toys and retro video arcade games inside Toytopia. Featuring play zones, a larger than life Jack in the Box, Lego play areas, and a new Star Wars themed area. Toytopia is open daily from 11am – 11pm and will keep you entertained for hours! The Food

Food remains at the forefront of the PNE and many people come to The Fair just to sample some of the unique… delicacies… found each year. The list of food vendors is expansive and this year, there will be some very interesting selections to choose from, including:

  • A BBQ Cricket Burger (!!!)
  • Crispy Chicken Feet
  • Double Bacon Mac N’ Cheese Super Footlong Hotdog
  • BBQ Cricket Fries with Gravy (oh awesome, more crickets!)
  • Oreo Rice Pudding
  • Deep fried Jello
  • And so much more…

Tickets to The Fair at the PNE cost $14 for entry ($6.50 for seniors, free for kids 13 & under) when you purchase tickets online. You can also add a fair ride pass for $40+. But, there are several promo days and way to save on tickets. Including free admission for all guests on August 22 & 29 from 11am – 1pm. The Fair at the PNE opens on Saturday, August 19, 2017 and runs until Monday, September 4, 2017 from 11am – Late every day (except Mondays).
