Free Movies at Cineplex Community Days this Saturday, October 14

For one day only, Cineplex will be hosting free movies to celebrate the community! On the morning of Saturday, October 14, 2017 Cineplex movie theatres in Vancouver will be be offering free movies and popcorn, drinks and candy available for only $2.50 – with all proceeds going to WE Charity.

Cineplex Community Days will run from 9:00am – 11:00am across several theatres in Vancouver, including downtown, Richmond, and North Vancouver. The movies being shown include Kung Fu Panda 3, Trolls, Ice Age, Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children and Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates.

Although the movies are free, you will still need to get a ticket for each movie. Tickets will become available on a first come, first serve basis at participating Cineplex locations on the morning of October 14th.

The movie lineup features options that the whole family can enjoy (however, Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates is rated R). This is your chance to catch them all on the big screen again – or for the first time, if you missed any of these on their first run!

Each movie will be screened at the same times in six different theatres across the Vancouver area:

  • Kung Fu Panda 3 – 10:30 am
    • When villain Kai begins to sweep across China defeating all the kung fu masters, Po must do the impossible–learn to train a village full of his fun-loving, clumsy brethren to become the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas! (more info)

  • Trolls – 9:30 am
    • After the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy, the happiest Troll ever born, and the curmudgeonly Branch set off on a journey to rescue her friends. (more info)

  • Ice Age: Collision Course– 10:15 am
    • To save themselves, Sid, Manny, Diego, and the rest of the herd must leave their home and embark on a quest full of comedy and adventure, traveling to exotic new lands and encountering a host of colorful new characters. (more info)

  • Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children – 9:45 am
    • When Jacob discovers clues to a mystery that stretches across time, he finds Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. But the danger deepens after he gets to know the residents and learns about their special powers. (more info)

  • Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates – 10:00 am
    • Two hard-partying brothers place an online ad to find the perfect dates for their sister’s Hawaiian wedding. Hoping for a wild getaway, the boys instead find themselves out-hustled by an uncontrollable duo. (more info)

  • Scotiabank Theatre Vancouver (900 Burrard Street)
  • Cineplex Cinemas Marine Gateway and VIP (452 South West Marine Drive, Vancouver)
  • Cineplex Odeon Park & Tilford Cinemas (200-333 Brooksbank Avenue, North Vancouver)
  • Cineplex Cinemas Esplanade (200 West Esplanade, North Vancouver)
  • SilverCity Metropolis Cinemas (4700 Kingsway, Burnaby)
  • SilverCity Riverport Cinemas (14211 Entertainment Way, Richmond)

Doors will open at each location on Saturday, October 14 at 8:30am – make sure to get there early if you want a seat! This is a fun opportunity to see a great movie in a theatre while enjoying cheap popcorn and candy – all for a good cause!
