The Vancouver Fall Home Show is back October 26-29, 2017 at the Vancouver Convention Centre – West for its 34th year, and we’ve got the top 5 reasons why this is one show you will not want to miss.

1. The stars are in town! The Urban Barn Main Stage is packed with an all-star line up of HGTV talent who are headlining including Sarah Richardson, Kortney & Dave Wilson, Tiffany Pratt and DIY expert Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault, plus a slew of Vancouver’s very own top designers and home experts.

2. Things are heating up at the Cooking Stage as Vancouver’s top chefs, wine and cocktail experts bring latest culinary trends to the Vancouver Fall Home Show. With  live cooking demonstrations which are set to impress as household names like Jefferson Alvarez of the popular Latin American-inspired restaurant Cacao, Rotem Tal and Itamar Shani of Chickpea, and Aaron Harowitz of Walter Caesar with Kate Dunn-Roy of Timber get ready to hit the stage.

3. Feeling crafty? Your Pinterest board is about to come to life! Vancouver’s finest local makers and artisans are bringing a hands-on craft experience to the Vancouver Fall Home Show with a series of must-see WORKSHOPs! With this roster of workshops including the Flower Factory, Saige and Skye, A Plentiful Life, Three Corners Artisan and Bauble Babes visitors can learn how to create their very own handcrafted home décor and goods such as ceramic porcelain mugs, macramé wall hangings, terrariums, floral arrangements and more.

4. One Nightstand Challenge, Presented by Rust-Oleum® Consumer Brands Canada® in support of Habitat for Humanity Society of Greater Vancouver. See five of Vancouver’s most stylish tastemakers, including Christie Lohr of Style Nine to Five, Judy Rom of Upcycle That, Leslie Rossi of A Life Well Consumed, Kiara Schwartz of Tobruck Ave., and Aleesha Harris of the Vancouver Sun and Covet & Acquire, have been challenged to reimagine a simple nightstand from basic to bold, using only Rust-Oleum® paints and stains and a frugal $50 design budget. Visitors will have the chance to take the dreamy creations home by placing a silent auction bid on their favourite, with 100% of auction proceeds benefitting Habitat for Humanity Society of Greater Vancouver to provide local families with a safe, affordable place to live.

Take insider cues from Jamie Banfield Design and discover how to recreate high-end looks without breaking the bank.
