The production What’s Christmas without a little competition? Deck the Halls stars Matthew Broderick and Danny DeVito as neighbours who go to battle after the latter decorates his house for the holidays bright enough that it can be seen from space. The movie was filmed throughout Metro Vancouver, including Holy Trinity Cathedral in New Westminster; Mundy Park in Coquitlam; and parts of White Rock and Surrey.
The attraction Forego the space-age lighting for a delightfully old-fashioned Christmas at the Vancouver Christmas Market (November 22 to December 24). Inspired by traditional German markets, the event returns this year to its new home at Jack Poole Plaza with more than 75 huts selling German sweets and handmade treasures, hot spiced Glühwein and German beer, a majestic carousel and more.
