The 12 Productions of Christmas, Day 12: Noelle

The nostalgic Woodwards’ Windows at Christmas at Canada Place.

It’s day 12 of The 12 Productions of Christmas! Today’s spotlight is Noelle, currently filming in Vancouver.

The production  Noelle tells the story of Nicole Claus, Santa’s daughter, who is forced to take over the world’s most magical job after her father retires and her brother backs out at the last minute. The Disney film stars Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader, and will be released in theatres in 2019. Filming locations to date include fashionable West 4th Avenue and historic Abbott Street in Gastown.

The attraction  Christmas at Canada Place is one of Vancouver’s anchor holiday events, bringing families together at the city’s downtown waterfront for a lively street festival that raises funds and awareness for Strathcona Community Centre’s Food Security for Children initiative. Event favourites include the nostalgic Woodward’s Windows, the dazzling Avenue of Christmas Trees, crafts and holiday movies for kids, and a spectacular lighting show. Admission is free. Merry Christmas!
