8 Egg-cellent Events during the Easter Long Weekend in Vancouver

If you’re getting egg-cited for the upcoming Easter weekend, rest assured that Vancouver has you covered with fun Easter themed events! There are several community Easter egg hunts and events scheduled for the Easter long weekend in Vancouver (March 30 – April 2, 2018)..

Sadly, most of these events are targeted towards kids, so if you’re over the age limit, you’re going to have to organize your own egg hunt! But, if you’re on the hunt for an event in Vancouver, take a look at the list below for some ideas of Easter event eggstravaganzas happening throughout city.

VanDusen Great A-Maze-ing Egg Hunt

  • Date: Friday, March 30 – Sunday, April 1
  • Location: VanDusen Botanical Garden
  • Price: $15 child, $11.25 adult, $8.45 senior, $6.45 adult/senior garden member

Kids aged 0 to 8 years are invited to the VanDusen Gardens to enjoy an outdoor egg hunt in 6 different areas across the garden. Other fun activities include a maze, food trucks, and more. Each child will receive a bag of chocolate at the end of their hunt. (More info)

VanDusen Aeromexico Egg Hunt

  • Date: Friday, March 30 – Sunday, April 1
  • Location: VanDusen Botanical Garden
  • Price: $11.25 adult, $8.45 senior, $6.45 adult/senior garden member

This year adults can enjoy an Easter egg hunt too! VanDusen Gardens will be hosting an egg hunt contest for the 19+ crowd. Find an Aeromexico egg during your hunt and be entered to win an all-inclusive 5 day trip to Mexico. (More info)

Stanley Park Train Easter Fair

  • Date: March 22 – 25 and March 29 – April 2 (10am – 5pm)
  • Location: Stanley Park Railway
  • Price: Train tickets ($6), Egg hunt tickets ($5), Carnival Tickets ($2)

Hop on the Stanley Park Train for an egg-citing Easter ride through Stanley Park through the forest and look for cotton-tailed inhabitants! After the train ride, kids can enjoy fun activities including a maze, face painting, egg hunt in the farmyard, meet n’ greet with the Easter Bunny, crafts, and games. (More info)

Vancouver Aquarium’s Easter Scavenger Hunt

  • Date: March 30 – April 2 (9:30 am – 6pm)
  • Location: Vancouver Aquarium in Stanley Park
  • Price: Included with Vancouver Aquarium admission or membership

Back by popular demand, Vancouver Aquarium guests can take a crack at the second annual Easter Scavenger Hunt. Through this self-guided hunt, visitors will journey through the Aquarium to learn eggs-traordinary animal stories then use this knowledge to solve clues on the scavenger hunt form. Visitors return their completed form to receive a chocolate treat and enter to win one of three animal encounters. (More info)

Easter Eggstravaganza in Kitsilano

  • Date: Saturday, March 31 from 11am – 1pm
  • Location: Kitsilano War Memorial Community Centre (2690 Larch Street)
  • Price: $6/child (Age 1-8)

An indoor event in Kitsilano with crafts, games, face painting, cookie decorating and much more. This event sells out each year and the event regularly sells out, so purchase a ticket online to reserve your spot!

Spring Eggstravaganza at Hastings Park

  • Date: Sunday, April 1, 2018
  • Location: Hastings Park (2901 E Hastings)
  • Price: Free

The Hastings Winter Market is hosting an extra special event on April 1. Visitors can meet a chicken, learn about egg-laying hens, and pet a cute bunny. (More info)

Egg-stacular Easter Egg Hunt at the Roundhouse

  • Date: Saturday, March 31, 2018
  • Location: Roundhouse Community Centre (181 Roundhouse Mews)
  • Price: $6/child

The event includes an egg hunt, face painting, arts & crafts, games, a candy bag and Easter basket to take home, cookie decorating, live bunnies and other animals, and a visit from the Easter Bunny! (More info)

Big Easter Run

  • Date: Saturday, March 31, 2018
  • Location: Jericho Beach, Kitsilano
  • Price: $10-15

This Easter-themed fun run tours picturesque Jericho Beach Park. Starting in the centre of the park, the course winds its way along trails surrounded by spring blooms before looping onto the beachside path, with unbeatable views of the North Shore and the Vancouver skyline. (More info)
