Carnaval Del Sol Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

CARNAVAL DEL SOL, the biggest Latin festival in the Pacific Northwest, is celebrating its 10 year anniversary at the end of Latin America Week. More than 450 artists will perform throughout 6 different stages, including musicians, visual artists, and dancers. See traditional folk dances, watch painters at work on both canvases and human bodies, enjoy authentic cuisine prepared by culturally diverse food vendors, watch live cooking demonstrations, a fashion show, and spend time in the new Salsa Lounge or in the 600-seat beer plaza.

Carnaval del Sol, recreates the atmosphere of a vibrant city plaza in Latin America. These activities are developed to engage and connect the various communities in British Columbia. Carnaval del Sol is the finale to the 10 day long Latinamerican Week Festival. The shared objective of Carnaval del Sol and Latinamerican Week is to act as a much-needed bridge between Vancouver’s rapidly growing Latin American communities and other communities.

Groove to the greatest Latin dance and show off your Salsa, Bachata, Samba and Zumba moves.  Bring your friends, family and kids to Carnaval del Sol and experience Latin America.
