Paralympic sledge hockey tickets still available…but act fast!

Goal 4 for Canada's sledge hockey team!

I just saw my first ever sledge hockey game–Canada vs. Italy–at UBC‘s Thunderbird Arena and I’ll make this short: get online right now and snatch up the last few remaining tickets for this great Paralympic sport!

There are only a few games still available and you won’t get to see Canada play, but this is the best fun you’ll have for $20 for a long time.

Oh, and the final score was 4-0. Go Canada!

Discovering the Richmond Oval

In case you hadn’t heard, Vancouver will be hosting a pretty big event in 6 months time. Now, we haven’t come close to seeing all the results of that particular project, but more and more of the venues, celebration sites, and buildings are being completed (or close to), and many are being opened up to the public.

One of those venues, and perhaps one of the most impressive to built, is the Richmond Olympic Oval. This will be the speed skating venue, and is a pretty incredible building of wood and stone and ice.
