The Vancouver Dyke March: A Balance of Celebration and Protest, Aug. 5, 2017

The Dyke March has always been my favourite Vancouver Pride weekend event. Held on the Saturday of Pride weekend every year, the day before the parade put on by the Vancouver Pride Society in the West End, the Dyke March (and Festival) is a beautiful blend of celebration and protest held in East Van on Commercial Drive. Five Pride-Themed Cocktails To Drink in Support of the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation in Vancouver (with a recipe included!)

Summer and well-crafted cocktails pair incredibly well together. If they help further a worthy cause, the sipping is that much better.

This summer, from July 14 to August 6, 2017, in the lead-up to Vancouver’s annual Pride celebration, over 45 local bars and restaurants will be serving signature cocktails, with partial proceeds going to the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation.

Pride is less than two months away, and the Vancouver Pride Society is getting set to welcome locals and visitors alike to celebrate!

Leading up to the first weekend of August 2017, Vancouver will be aglow with Pride as hotels fill up, party ticket sales are in overdrive, smart coiffures de rigueur and fabulous outfits galore parade the catwalk on Davie Street.
