City & Slope Festival – Hotel and Ski Package Giveaway!

City and Slope is a four-day destination mountain and music festival that is set to take over Vancouver’s three local mountains and rock its downtown core this February (Feb 9,10,11,12).

On the slopes, the focus will be on winter sport activities and animations on each of Vancouver’s local mountains, all with a unique theme – from outdoor adventures at Grouse Mountain to snowboarding at Mount Seymour to Canada 2010 Olympics at Cypress Mountain.

25 unmissable Vancouver events in February 2012

It’s the shortest month of the year, but February in Vancouver is packed full of events.

You can depend on calendar staples: Valentine’s Day, Leap Year, Superbowl and The Academy Awards. Add to that signature regional events: Winter Pride LGBT Ski Week, Vancouver ComedyFest, Talking Stick Festival, Tales of the Cocktail and Playhouse International Wine Festival (pictured above). Don’t forget about February’s rich cultural celebrations: the city has a month-long program of film, talks, parties and performance in honour of Black History Month.

Vancouver City & Slope Festival – Vancouver’s Newest Winter Festival February 9 – 12

A new winter festival is arriving in Vancouver this February: The brand-new Vancouver City and Slope Festival is a “four-day destination mountain and music festival that is set to take over Vancouver’s three local mountains and rock its downtown core.”

Designed to become a signature annual winter event for Vancouver, the organizers behind City and Slope include Vancouver Hotel Destination Association (VHDA),  Grouse Mountain, Cypress Mountain, Mount Seymour, Yaletown BIA, Live Nation, the Museum of Vancouver and Telus World of Science. The festival itself will combine themed winter sports activities on the mountains with music, arts and activities in Vancouver’s downtown core. If all goes well, the goal is to make City and Slope a 10-day festival by 2015.
