Skate Canada International’s Figure Skating Competition Comes to UBC

Vancouver hosts some of the best figure skaters from around the world for the 49th annual Skate Canada International (SCI) competition when it comes to the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre on UBC’s campus from October 27 to 29.

2018 National Skating Championships, held in Vancouver, just around the corner!

Kaetlyn Osmond competes at the 2018 National Skating Championships. Osmond is the 2017 World silver medalist, a two time Skate Canada International champion, a two-time Nebelhorn Trophy champion, and a three-time Canadian national champion.

Mike Slipchuk has been High Performance Director at Skate Canada since 2006. As director, he oversees the country’s finest skaters as they prepare for world and Olympic competitions. In January, he’ll accompany the athletes to Vancouver, as they compete in the 2018 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships.

The 2018 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships Are Coming to Vancouver!

All-event tickets for the 2018 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships are on sale now!

This is your chance to see Patrick Chan, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, Kaetlyn Osmond, Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford, and hometown medalist Kevin Reynolds compete for their chance to make the 2018 Canadian Olympic Team!

The event will take place in Vancouver at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre from January 8-14, 2018, and will serve as a qualification event for the team that will compete at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea later next year.

Vancouver to host 2018 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships

The 2018 Canadian Tire National Skating Championship will head to the west coast as Vancouver, B.C., will host the momentous championships at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre from January 8-14, 2018. The 2018 event will serve as a qualification event for the team that will compete at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea later that same year.
