After a 5-0 victory over San Jose at BC Place on Wednesday, the ‘Caps continue their run in the Audi 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs this Sunday, October 29th when they host arch-rivals Seattle Sounders FC in the Conference Semifinals. Kickoff is at 5:30 p.m.

In conjunction with the Vancouver-Guangzhou Friendship Society and Vancouver Chinese Soccer Association, Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced that the club has been invited to play against English Premier League side and FA Cup finalists Crystal Palace FC in the Vancouver International Soccer Challenge. The match will take place at BC Place on Tuesday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m.

Outdoor Movie Alert: Catch a Public Screening of L’arbitro at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza

L'ARBITRO

Il Centro Italian Cultural Centre, with the help of Civic Theatres of Vancouver, will be organizing and running a free public event at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza.  A screening of Paolo Zucca’s 2013 film L’arbitro will be held in the theatre’s outdoor plaza and will be free to the public to attend. Although the movie starts at sunset, the evening begins at 7:00 p.m. with live musical entertainment. There will be food trucks present and the bar, concession, and outdoor patio of the Queen Elizabeth theatre will be open throughout the evening.

2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup Set to Kick Off June 8 in Vancouver (Ticket starting at $20)

Vancouver is about to become the centre of the soccer universe. The 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup kicks off on June 6, with a total of nine matches played in Vancouver, including the all important final on July 5.

The largest women’s sporting event in the world, the competition sees 24 international teams vying for the coveted cup, including the Canadian squad that brought home bronze at the London 2012 Olympics. During the month-long event, teams face off in Vancouver and five other Canadian cities (Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal and Moncton), making the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup the country’s first coast-to-coast sporting event.

The centre of all the action in Vancouver is B.C. Place Stadium, home of the Vancouver Whitecaps football club, where tickets to early-stage matches start as low as $20.15 (before taxes and service fees).  Continue reading:
