South Granville, Part II: 3 Reasons to Shop South Granville

A few weeks ago, I wrote about my move from South Granville (the Fairview shopping district that extends from Granville Street Bridge to 16th Avenue) and one of my favourite things about my (now) old neighbourhood: the fabulous restaurants.  In this second post on South Granville, I’ll write about another thing that makes South Granville a must-visit: the incredible shopping.

Robson Street and the downtown shopping core tend to get all the media attention when it comes to Vancouver’s world-class shopping. While it’s true that Robson Street is great for atmosphere—the crowds and downtown venue give it a true shopping-mecca feel—and for menswear (it’s hard to find as wide a selection of menswear outside of downtown), for truly unique fashion and housewares, you have to get off that well-beaten path.
