Last night, I went to the opening performance for the Scotiabank Dance Centre’s biennial dance festival, Dance in Vancouver.

As I mentioned in my Dance in Vancouver post last week, this five day event showcases the latest efforts from B.C.’s contemporary dance masters. It’s a rare opportunity to see B.C.’s best and brightest in action, and to see the breadth, range and diversity in today’s contemporary dance scene.

The performance I attended was Program One, featuring excerpts from MovEnt’s SURGE, the plastic orchid factory’s endORPHIN, and Rob Kitsos & Dancers’ WAKE.
