North America’s Largest Dragon Boat Festival Comes to Vancouver, June 15-17

Bring together 100,000 spectators and 180 teams – plus a few hundred boats painted to look like menacing Chinese dragons – and what do you get?

The 24th annual Dragon Boat Festival, which returns to downtown Vancouver June 15-17. Started in 1988 as a celebration of Vancouver’s rich multicultural heritage, the festival has grown into one of the city’s premier summer events.  Crowds pack the shores of scenic False Creek around Science World and Olympic Village for two days of free live music, beer gardens and – of course – some intense dragon boat racing.  Continue reading:
