Just in time for Halloween, Thrill Vancouver is back.

The annual event, where people dress up like zombies and dance to Michael Jackson’s Thriller, returns Saturday, Oct. 24. This year, the dance – which has attracted hundreds of enthusiastic Vancouver zombies in the past – is being held at Olympic Village Square, on False Creek in downtown Vancouver, starting at 3 p.m. sharp.

Thrill Vancouver is part of the international Thrill the World event, which sees thousands of participants in dozens of different countries simultaneously emulate the signature dance moves from Jackson’s epic 1983 music video Thriller, which famously featured walking corpses gyrating to the beat. The Vancouver event is organized by Improv Anywhere, the same group that brought you the No Pants SkyTrain Ride.  Continue reading:

Every year, people from all over the world dance the “Thriller” dance on the same day, for world records, for charity, as a tribute to Michael Jackson, and, of course, as a Halloween spectacle.  Like last year, Thrill the World’s Vancouver event takes place at the Roundhouse Community Centre, October 23, 2010.
