With 46 days left to go until US Election Day, speculations about the next American President are growing exponentially. Tensions are high given the implications of voters’ choice for the American, as well as the global populace.

My boyfriend and I have different political views and usually try to adhere to the general rule of leaving politics out of our date nights. However, Vancouver TheatreSports League’s new show offers a lighthearted way to address US (and world) politics with an improvised election game that’s bound to have everyone collapsed in laughter.

A recent game of bocce with my boyfriend reminded me why it’s such a lovely way to spend an hour or so in Vancouver’s beautiful outdoors. It’s leisurely, easily learnt by a newbie, and a fun, interactive activity to do together. With August slipping away, don’t hesitate to take advantage of the sun and the summer warmth!

Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) is set to launch a brand new season, which the not-for-profit theatre company is calling the “Summer of Love.”

From July 6 to August 20, Vancouver’s TUTS will be running two well-known and swoon inducing musicals on alternating nights: Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and West Side Story. My boyfriend and I will be definitely going to at least one of the shows!

Vancouver’s Most Relaxing Spa Treatments for Couples

Vancouver is truly an active couple’s paradise, with its endless hiking, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ice skating, and biking options.

But I’ve also realized, both for myself and for my relationship, that the quiet, more tranquil moments are also important. As much as I adore snowboarding together, I also really enjoy relaxing and recharging at the end of the day. Personally, I think even a power session of shopping on Robson Street warrants some downtime.

For Christmas, since my boyfriend hates presents with clutter potential, I offered to treat him to a spa visit. Since I’m thinking of tagging along, I’ve been doing some research on the best spa treatments for couples around town. Honestly, just reading the descriptions makes me feel more blissful.
