Fireworks and family-friendly fun at Vancouver’s largest New Year’s Eve celebration

Are you ready to party like it’s almost 2018 in a family-friendly atmosphere?

Concord’s New Year’s Eve Vancouver 2018 is one of Canada’s largest all-ages celebrations on one of the biggest nights of the year. Indoor and outdoor programming, country music, a street party, a kids’ zone and of course fireworks make it the premier event destination for ringing in the New Year in YVR.

The spectacle takes place 7 p.m.-1:30 a.m. at Vancouver Convention Centre West (1055 Canada Pl) and Canada Place (999 Canada Pl). There are a few options for enjoying the fun, including VIP and family passes. Here’s the rundown, along with some of what to expect.

It’s on almost everyone’s bucket list… It’s the Polar Bear Swim! The invigorating, annual tradition that takes place every New Year’s Day (January 1) when thousands of crazy brave people take the plunge into English Bay.

Why? You may ask. Well, why not? (okay, there are many reasons why not, but lets not go into that right now…) This Vancouver tradition is fun to participate in and fun to watch! Last year, over 2,000 revelers got together at English Bay in 3 degree Celsius weather to plunge into the water, this year it’s happening again!
