Why I Love The Drive

Nestled in the East Vancouver is one of my favourite neighbourhoods, Commercial Drive, also known as The Drive. Why do I love this vibrant, diverse, laid-back and unpretentious neighbourhood:

Coffee Heaven. Along with the usual suspects, are a host of independent coffee shops serving up tasty espressos and lattes that will satisfy any coffee fiend. Perfect for an afternoon pick me up.

Farmer’s Markets pop-up on weekends with fresh organize BC produce, baked goodies, handmade trinkets and original artwork. Enjoy the outdoors and support to the local businesses.thedrive3The Patio Scene. Walk down The Drive on any sunny day and you’ll notice packed patios. Enjoy mojitos (my personal fave), beer or the best cappuccino in town.thedrive1The Arts. They’re artsy on The Drive. Whether it’s the colourful murals or musicians playin’ on the street corner, thriving artists make up the community.thedrive4The Phone Booth. Totally random, but I don’t know anywhere else in Vancouver with a red public phone booth like this. This alone makes The Drive cool.
